Sorry, libgcj-common of course does Depend on python and python-central; the
fact that python wasn't getting installed was due to broken local builds on my
pbuildd system (I was trying to resolve some circular build dependencies and
dropped python as a build dependency in an intermediate build).
However, with that fixed, I still get the "/usr/bin/gcj not found" error in
numerous packages, including db{,4.5,4.6} and libjaxp1.3-java.
