Indeed, there must be some misunderstanding.

The ``status'' column indicates the origin of the peer.  It contains one
of

  I: incoming connection
  X: peer obtained from PEX
  H: peer obtained from the DHT (in 1.70 only).

If none of the above are present, the peer was obtained from a tracker.
This is explained in the tooltip of the field.  It is also explained on
the transmission wiki on

The information about which particular tracker a peer was obtained from
is not presented; as far as I know, the libtransmission backend doesn't
maintain this information at all.

I'm not closing this bug this time, Leo; please either close it or let
me know why this reply is not satisfactory.
