I have the same problem here when starting xfmedia. 

Removing .config/xfmedia doesn't help. I havn't got time to make a
backtrace but my xconsole gives a message like the following whenever I
try to start xfmedia:

"kernel: [ 2771.924515] xfmedia[8909]: segfault at 1609d ip b74738b0 sp
bfe10e24 error 4 in libpthread-2.9.so[b746c000+15000]"

or:

"kernel: [ 4264.317682] xfmedia[23525]: segfault at c ip b74ec8b0 sp
bfb84f54 error 4 in libpthread-2.9.so[b74e5000+15000]"
