Package: libdvdread4 Version: 4.1.3-5 Severity: important
Hi, With the newest libdvdread4 from testing I can't replay any DVDs anymore in mplayer on PowerPC. I get the following on the console: libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.10 for DVD access libdvdread: Invalid main menu IFO (VIDEO_TS.IFO), ifoRead_FP_PGC() failed. Can't open VMG info! No stream found to handle url dvd:// This is with mplayer from debian-multimedia.org. Everything worked fine for me a month or so ago. Totem does not seem to work either (aborting with a "maybe you don't have permission to replay the file" message). Christian Marillat tells me he can reproduce this on a G3 Mac, but not on i386 or AMD64. [ I set the bug priority to important because it seems to render libdvdread4 mostly useless on powerpc. It's certainly currently useless for me. ] Best regards, --Lorenz -- Package-specific info: -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-powerpc Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libdvdread4 depends on: ii libc6 2.9-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries Versions of packages libdvdread4 recommends: ii libdvdnav4 4.1.3-3 DVD navigation library Versions of packages libdvdread4 suggests: ii libdvdcss2 1.2.10-0.2 Simple foundation for reading DVDs -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
