I'll never understand why people don't actually check their system first before reporting a bug. (Because wven when you don't know why this could happen as I do - when googling for that error there's forum posts outlining possible problems) In this case I'd check whether the user-dir of OOo is readable and writable by you (There are some bugs which can cause it to be created by root...) This e.g. happens when a extension is registered but the javasettingsunopkginstall.xml file is not pointed to something else. Then it will write a new home if not existing with that file - on package install then obviously as root. (The Debian packages of extensions *do* specify that option) > I'm setting severity to important, because right now I can't use it. That would be grave actually, but I can't reproduce it anyway.: (Because the "%/§/ reporting doesn't show the locale I assume it_IT.UTF-8 but it also works with e.g. en_US". ... > hunspell-dictionary | > myspell-dictionary | > openoffice.org-help-3.1 | > openoffice.org-l10n-3.1 | ... with and without langpack installed.
