Hi Justin,

I quickly tested it with 3.22.0-1 and can't reproduce your problem. The message,
that shows up in /var/log/syslog looks like

May 27 16:50:47 pluto rsyslogd: [origin software="rsyslogd" swVersion="3.22.0"
x-pid="32634" x-info="http://www.rsyslog.com";] restart

From what I see, you get duplicated log messages, which seems a bit weird.

Are you passing debug flags to rsyslog?
