This is usually a sign of alsa driver bugs, 0.9.15 should be more resilient to this. Do you still see this issue with pulseaudio 0.9.15 (please ensure you're runnig the latest libasound2 and kernel)?
I update libasound2 to 1.0.20-1 ( sid ), pulseaudio to 0.9.15-1 and running the kernel 2.6.26-2 ( package version : 2.6.26-15 ). Pulseaudio is still going to take all the cpu after sending messages in syslog ( see the attachement ) Edit: I got the same with pulseaudio 0.9.15-2 Thanks for your help -- Sébastien
