Package: phonon-backend-gstreamer Version: 4:4.3.1-1 Severity: important
After an automatic update, sound stopped working. Since that moment it was not possible to reproduce any sound at all again, but the one used during the KDE (v4.2) session start. Just next, this notification came up: Phonon :KDE's Multimedias Library Audio playback HDA Intel (ALC880 Analog) does not work. Falling back to default. I checked the existing packages and realized that phonon-backend-xine was not installed so I tried with it, but that didn't solve the problem. Even changing the priority through System Settings->Multimedia->Backends no sound was played. There must be some kind of conflict between both backends, because sound came back just after uninstalling gstreamer backend and its dependencies. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_ES.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_ES.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages phonon-backend-gstreamer depends on: pn gstreamer0.10-plugins-base <none> (no description available) ii libc6 2.9-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.4.0-5 GCC support library ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1] 7.0.3-7 A free implementation of the OpenG ii libglib2.0-0 2.20.1-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10 0.10.22-5 GStreamer libraries from the "base ii libgstreamer0.10-0 0.10.23-1 Core GStreamer libraries and eleme ii libphonon4 4:4.3.1-1 Phonon multimedia framework for Qt ii libqt4-opengl 4.5.1-2 Qt 4 OpenGL module ii libqtcore4 4.5.1-2 Qt 4 core module ii libqtgui4 4.5.1-2 Qt 4 GUI module ii libstdc++6 4.4.0-5 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 Versions of packages phonon-backend-gstreamer recommends: pn gstreamer0.10-plugins-good <none> (no description available) Versions of packages phonon-backend-gstreamer suggests: pn gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly <none> (no description available) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
