Package: lynx-cur Version: 2.8.7pre2-1 Severity: normal In lynx, delete acts like backspace, deleting the character before the cursor (instead of the one after the cursor.) This is inconsistent of the way other programs work (including bash and earlier versions of lynx).
To reproduce: Enter, in any text field, ab. Push left to move the cursor left one letter. (The cursor should now be on the b.) Press the delete key. Expected result: The b should be erased, leaving only the a present. Actual result: The a is erased, leaving just the b. In case it matters, lynx is being executed from the console, not from within X. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (200, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26custom Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages lynx-cur depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.26 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.9-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcrypt11 1.4.4-2 LGPL Crypto library - runtime libr ii libgnutls26 2.6.6-1 the GNU TLS library - runtime libr ii libncursesw5 5.7+20090523-1 shared libraries for terminal hand ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-13 compression library - runtime Versions of packages lynx-cur recommends: ii mime-support 3.44-1 MIME files 'mime.types' & 'mailcap Versions of packages lynx-cur suggests: pn lynx-cur-wrapper <none> (no description available) -- debconf information: lynx-cur/etc_lynx.cfg: lynx-cur/defaulturl: http://www.debian.org/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
