I guess you haven't set a proper realname.
What does getent passwd giggz say?

This is more likely your problem. Your session is marked as inactive

And you don't have a session for the X11 session, only for the console.

I guess you use a custom start script for your X session (what exactly do you 
use).

If you use a graphical login manager it should just work.
If you want to login via console, then start your X session via "startx"
(without any additional parameters), so /etc/X11/Xsession.d/90consolekit.

You should also unset XDG_SESSION_COOKIE before running startx (that's a known
bug), otherwise 90consolekit won't be run.
