Package: slrn Version: 0.9.8.1pl1-5 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Hello,
I have an ugly terminal output problem with the new slrn, using an UTF-8 locale. See screenshots below, as you see they contain random garbage after german Umlauts. The strings are displayed correctly using an 8bit locale, eg. fr_FR. http://people.debian.org/~blade/misc/slrn1.png http://people.debian.org/~blade/misc/slrn2.png -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12 Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages slrn depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.4.51 Debian configuration management sy ii debianutils 2.14.1 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libcanlock2 2b-3 library for creating and verifying ii libgcrypt11 1.2.0-11.1 LGPL Crypto library - runtime libr ii libgnutls11 1.0.16-13.1 GNU TLS library - runtime library ii libslang2 2.0.4-2 The S-Lang programming library - r ii libtasn1-2 0.2.10-4 Manage ASN.1 structures (runtime) slrn recommends no packages. -- debconf information: * shared/mailname: debian * slrn/manual_getdescs: * slrn/getdescs: cron job * slrn/getdescs_now: false * shared/news/server: news.uni-kl.de slrn/lost_slrnpull: -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
