Package: lynx-cur Version: 2.8.7pre2-1 Severity: normal To reproduce: Open any file in lynx. Press p to go to the printing options. Choose "Save to a local file" For the filename, enter ~/test.
Expected result: lynx should either save the file as test in the home directory, or it should prompt whether to overwrite the file. Actual result: "Alert! Cannot write to file." The same thing happens if a file is downloaded with the 'd' command. This bug is especially problematic, since I often forget what the current directory of the 'lynx' process is. Also, this used to work before I upgraded to lynx-cur. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26custom Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages lynx-cur depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.26 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.9-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcrypt11 1.4.4-2 LGPL Crypto library - runtime libr ii libgnutls26 2.6.6-1 the GNU TLS library - runtime libr ii libncursesw5 5.7+20090516-1 shared libraries for terminal hand ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-13 compression library - runtime Versions of packages lynx-cur recommends: ii mime-support 3.44-1 MIME files 'mime.types' & 'mailcap Versions of packages lynx-cur suggests: pn lynx-cur-wrapper <none> (no description available) -- debconf information: lynx-cur/etc_lynx.cfg: lynx-cur/defaulturl: http://www.debian.org/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
