Woops, initially sent to wrong (ie. non-existing) package, sorry for that.
Starting xchat2 leads to segfaulting it. dmesg hints to libmalaga.so.
This then led me to the xchats systray plugin, which - removing it -
cures xchat again making it start and work normaly again.
Here's the excerpt from dmesg I mentioned above.
