It must be so that there is a fault in the function

static char *get_destroy_root(char *dir)

This is (more or less) the only function that the directory passes between 
those two lines.

Yes that is likely. The reason why I asked was that in my configuration file I 
have
set the path directly and therefore it could be wrong. In your case however 
that do not
seem to be the case.

I'll look into if I can reproduce this.

I can not find any similar bugs in bugzilla.
