Package: openct
Version: 0.6.16-1
Severity: normal

Author in openct.doc-base.manual is wrong, I didn't write all of that,
please change to "OpenCT Developers".

doc-base file for the api documentation is missing.

openct is still configured with udev, this is not supported by udev
developers, please switch to hal setup.

documentation is still disabled, even though 0.6.16 fixed those issues.

README.debian should show how to disable openct if people want that,
e.g. with the disable policy file.

copyright file is wrong, while Olaf was the original author, lots
of other people added code. please change to "OpenCT Developers"
and/or point to the documentation and/or source for a proper list.

OpenCT does not need to be configure'd with usb support, it now has
a complete native linux usb implementation with some benefits towards
power savings.

Source dependency on libusb-dev can be dropped.

Recommends udev should be replaced by depends/recommends on hal.

Enhanced pcscd should be dropped, since 99% of the users do something
wrong if they install openct and pcscd at the same time. Usualy it is
best to use either opensc with openct. or opensc (or other apps) with
pcscd and a reader driver (e.g. libccid) other than openct.

For testing I build an openct package with all these changes already
applied, as I wrote in the "new version available" bug, and it is
still available here:
--cut--
also I took the time to look at the open bugs for
debians openct package and the new release should solve all
of them. you can find my packaging here, based on the latest
0.6.15-1 package:
        http://www.opensc-project.org/debian/openct/
--cut--

If my work is ignored without any comment, that doesn't send a good
message.

Regards, Andreas
