Package: gnome-mount Version: 0.8-2 Severity: important The automatic mount of inserted USB device stopped working.
I use /etc/fstab entries for SD card and USB stick. When the /etc/fstab includes an entry about a device inserted, "mount" command should be invoked by gnome-mount rather than using the HAL mechanism (as written in "man gnome-mount"). But this doesn't work now. The whole procedure ends up with creating the device node e.g. /dev/sdd1. After this, the *manual* execution of "mount /dev/sdd1" must be made and it works fine. If I remove the appropriate entry from /etc/fstab, the HAL mechanism is being used (I guess) and all works as expected. For CDROM, it works fine even when there is an appropriate entry in the /etc/fstab. This bug was originally filed to "pmount".
