Could you please send me your /etc/snort/snort.conf file?

Yes, snort-pgsql's configuration script is responsible for putting the
configured information there.

Could you please try to run
'DEBCONF_DEBUG=developer dpkg-reconfigure -pcritical snort-pgsql' 
and send me the output also?
