Hi, You need to make it gracefully handle multiple packages providing the same pkgconfig. Try this: grep -v '^#' pkgconfig | cut -d\ -f1 | sort > pp1 grep -v '^#' pkgconfig | cut -d\ -f1 | sort -u > pp2 $ git diff pp1 pp2 | diffstat pp2 | 47 ----------------------------------------------- 1 file changed, 47 deletions(-) The Lintian::Data object would only know about the latest package providing each pkgconfig, which may result in false positives.
