Package: python-libsvm
Version: 2.89-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

the recent upload of libsvm caused the pymvpa package to FTBFS. The
reason is that the 'verbosity' patch got removed. Was there any
requirement to remove that patch, which originally fixed #439112?

Looking into the changelog just yields:

  * Removed debian/patches/verbosity-adjust.diff

but no reasoning is given. Did that version introduce a new mechanismn
to solve the original problem? Looking into the latest Python interface
I cannot easily figure out what that could be. Looking at the upstream
website also did not reveal anything.

Thanks in advance,

Michael
