Hi, You cite a NEWS entry. We won't fix that (I agree, it could have been formulated better). The manual page contains an IMO good description of both switches.
Can you tell more about your issues to understand the key ID part (BTW which section in the manual page exactly?)? Or has the situation improved since you wrote the report?
