Unfortunately I don't have an AMD machine so I'm unable to test your hypothesis on the performance difference. I'm not sure what further information I can provide at this stage, so would it be possible to remove the moreinfo tag on this bug report? I would do it, but after reading the documentation, I'm still not exactly sure how and don't want to mess things up. Thanks again.
