Say, if we get these errors # aptitude install linux-image-2.6.29-1-686 update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-2.6.29-1-686 W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/e100/d102e_ucode.bin for module e100 W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/e100/d101s_ucode.bin for module e100 W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/e100/d101m_ucode.bin for module e100 And it is not due to http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=521370 but instead because $ ls -l /lib/firmware/ total 0 what should we do next? Say, I only have 256/64 KB ADSL, so maybe it doesn't matter if I have that module, but I wish the error message would go away. Maybe I should just blacklist the module. That I probably can handle.
