Package: chkrootkit
Version: 0.48-9
Severity: wishlist

I have an alias to bring up a second interface in /etc/network/interfaces.
This means I get a log file that looks like this:

eth[0|1]: PACKET SNIFFER([dhclient3|dhcpd3]{PID})
eth0:0: PACKET SNIFFER(/usr/sbin/dhcpd3[18192])

If the regexp was instead changed to:
sed -r 's,eth(0|1)(:[0-9])?: PACKET
SNIFFER\((/sbin/dhclient3|/usr/sbin/dhcpd3)\[[0-9]+\]\),eth\[0|1\]: PACKET
SNIFFER\([dhclient3|dhcpd3]{PID}\),'

then this would handle ethernet aliases.
