Package: cdbs Version: 0.4.56 Severity: normal cdbs provides two different variables, DEB_CONFIGURE_EXTRA_FLAGS and DEB_CONFIGURE_NORMAL_ARGS, which both allow extra options to be given to configure. Mentioned in the docs at Sect. 3.2, p13.
The difference between them is not well explained, apart from stating that _EXTRA_FLAGS is still used alongside _NORMAL_ARGS. What are they for, exactly? That is, when would you use one of them and not the other? It's not clear in the Sect 3.2 docs why you don't just have one variable for adding options to configure. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.29-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages cdbs depends on: ii debhelper 7.2.7 helper programs for debian/rules Versions of packages cdbs recommends: ii autotools-dev 20080123.2 Update infrastructure for config.{ Versions of packages cdbs suggests: ii devscripts 2.10.48 scripts to make the life of a Debi ii doc-base 0.9.1 utilities to manage online documen -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
