Hi, I have updated the debian package to support the override option through the /etc/default/psad file.
DAEMON_ARGS="--Override-config /root/psad.override.conf" The package is available through my own Debian repository in Sid (amd64/i386) as psad_2.1.6~svn.pre3-2 http://www.cipherdyne.org/blog/2008/08/installing-fwknop-on-debian-and-ubuntu.html I noticed the fwcheck_psad script should also handle the Override option :) ( I will see that later this week) This is only a pre-release from Michael, but if someone want to play with it, feedback is welcome.
