Package: ifplugd Version: 0.28-15 Severity: wishlist While I have used ifplugd for wlan interfaces in the past, I find nowadays that the "wpa-roam" option in /etc/network/interfaces serves me better. OTOH I do find ifplugd very handy for ethernet interfaces. So I cannot use INTERFACES="auto" since it causes ifplugd to interfere with wpa-roam on the wlan interfaces. But I'd like to use a form of auto-selection for ethernet interfaces, to avoid having to explicitly list which ethernet interfaces I have in each of my machines.
Basically, I'd like to be able to say something like INTERFACES="eth*" Stefan -- Package-specific info: /sys/class/net/ interfaces: /sys/class/net/eth0/ /sys/class/net/irda0/ /sys/class/net/lo/ /sys/class/net/wlan0/ /sys/class/net/wmaster0/ -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_CH.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_CH.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages ifplugd depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.26 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.9-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libdaemon0 0.13-3 lightweight C library for daemons ii lsb-base 3.2-22 Linux Standard Base 3.2 init scrip Versions of packages ifplugd recommends: ii ifupdown 0.6.8+nmu1 high level tools to configure netw Versions of packages ifplugd suggests: ii wpasupplicant 0.6.9-1 client support for WPA and WPA2 (I -- debconf information: * ifplugd/interfaces: auto * ifplugd/hotplug_interfaces: * ifplugd/args: -f -u0 -d10 -w -I --no-beep * ifplugd/suspend_action: none -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
