I’m sorry if I came across as not caring by not responding to this report; I’d really like to get this sorted out. Are you sure that Samuel’s patch on kbd doesn’t do the right thing? As far as I can tell, it works perfectly well and gives the same result for the accented characters from the number row and for the “composing style” of input. Samuel, thank you for your patch.
