Package: fglrx-driver Version: 1:9-3-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
Subject: fglrx-driver incompatible with current xserver-xorg Package: fglrx-driver Version: 1:9-3-1 Justification: renders package unusable Severity: grave I'm sure you're already aware of this, but I don't see a bug in the BTS, so filing so that people know it's already reported and the issue is documented. The current xorg-server in unstable requires xerver-xorg-video-5, but fglrx-driver provides only xserver-xorg-video-2. I believe there was a change in the ABI with the most recent upload. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages fglrx-driver depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.26 Debian configuration management sy ii laptop-detect 0.13.7 attempt to detect a laptop ii libc6 2.9-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libdrm2 2.4.5-2 Userspace interface to kernel DRM ii libgcc1 1:4.3.3-7 GCC support library ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1] 7.4-2 A free implementation of the OpenG ii libx11-6 2:1.2.1-1 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxinerama1 2:1.0.3-2 X11 Xinerama extension library ii libxrandr2 2:1.3.0-2 X11 RandR extension library ii libxrender1 1:0.9.4-2 X Rendering Extension client libra ii xserver-xorg 1:7.4+1 the X.Org X server Versions of packages fglrx-driver recommends: ii fglrx-atieventsd 1:9-3-1 external events daemon for the non pn fglrx-glx <none> (no description available) ii fglrx-source 1:9-3-1 kernel module source for the non-f Versions of packages fglrx-driver suggests: pn fglrx-control <none> (no description available) -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
