Seems to be a recent change in gnome-icon-theme. The icon shown is /usr/share/icons/gnome/22x22/devices/nm-device-wired.png (attached) It seems, gtk prefers the icon that is shipped by the icon-theme over the one provided by nm-applet Michael -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
