Package: pidgin Version: 2.5.5-1 Severity: normal I can confirm that pidgin crashes at startup after I upgraded packages this morning. The stack trace attached by the reporter matches mine.
I can avoid the crash either by removing gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad, as suggested, or by running 'pidgin -n' and not enabling any Jabber (XMPP) accounts. AIM works fine.
