When SMPlayer is used for full-screen video playback in KDE4 with desktop
effects enabled, the playback controls (Play, Start, etc.) do not become
visible. Clicking the area where the controls should be still performs the
appropriate actions, if you manage to click on the right area.
Here's a part of the SMPlayer log, during which I opened a video, switched to
full-screen mode, moved the mouse several times to the area where the controls
should be, returned to window mode, and closed the application:
