Yes. I could use some clues in managing .shlibs files and library package names. Of course, this report gives me plenty to make progress, but feel free to help. I've put vtk up on alioth with a git repository under collab-maint, http://git.debian.org/?p=collab-maint/vtk.git;a=summary there is a 5.2.1 branch, master is tracking 5.4.0 now. I hope to simplify debian/rules a bit to make it easier to keep track of things in the near term...
