Oh, I see my answer was rejected by the SMTP server because it didn't accept from:ftpmaster. I am sorry for not noticing this. > On Tuesday 24 March 2009 22:45:00 Simon Paillard wrote: > > On Sun, Feb 22, 2009 at 10:29:22AM +0100, Marek Zidek wrote: > > > Simon Paillard <simon.paill...@resel.enst-bretagne.fr> > > > > > > > It seems you perform 2 syncs a day, but with times that implies 9 hours > > > > pass before an update on the primary server reach your own server (6 > > > > hours between ftp.debian.sk and you). > > > > > > > > In order to improve this (we now have 4 updates per day), the best > > > > method is to setup push mirroring. I haven't set up push mirrorring yet - I wanted to understand the hierarchy clearly. >From *debian.sk I have fastest access to ftp2.de.debian.org which is also push-primary, so I use it for mirrorring for now. I am willing to set up push, but (hopefully) in short time I'll replace HW I have for mirrorring so I wanted to delay it until new HW will be working. My personal opinion is that it would be gerat if two mirrors in the same country had different source of syncing, so at least would work if anything happened to uplink. (so I wanted to use different mirror even when *sk.debian.org pointed to *tuke.sk). So - I won't mind if *ynet.sk gets mirrorred from other site, if that won't cause any issues for debian mirrorring hierarchy.
