Hi to all of you,
I'm just resolving a bug for me on the libsane 1.0.19-26 package.
All HP printers, including the ones which embed a scanner are given the lp group in the z60_hplip.rules
, which gives access to the printer for cups, and also for sane.
The z60_libsane.rules gives the scanner group to the scanner-only devices. It is not necessary to give the scanner group to a multi-function printer, and in some cases, like mine, cups does not have access to the printer anymore if the printer is in the scanner group. In the 1.0.19-26 version, two printers with scanners in this z60_libsane.rules are given the scanner group, and they should not. We had to comment the following lines from doc/descriptions/unsupported.desc, in order to user the C5100 and C3100 with cups again :
; :model "Photosmart C5100 series"
; :url "/unsupported/hp-photosmart-5100.html"
; :interface "USB"
; :usbid "0x03f0" "0x5811"
; :status :unsupported
; :comment "Not supported yet by SANE. See link for details."

; :model "Photosmart C3180"
; :url "/unsupported/hp-photosmart-3180.html"
; :interface "USB"
; :usbid "0x03f0" "0x5611"
; :status :unsupported
; :comment "Not supported yet by SANE. See link for details."

So please do not add any more printers in this file, and remove the C5100 as C3180 as we have done it, in order to have only scanners-only in this file.

Thank's
