Package: foomatic-filters
Version: 4.0-20090311-1
Went to print some tax forms only nothing would print. Cups Admin on
localhost had : stopped couldn't read xref table. HP-toolbox reported:
Job stopped due to filter errors. Couldn't print testpages or use
cleaning function, no page printed with results. Googled error messages
and found several bugs, one Bug #258577 ( a cups bug I believe)
suggested it was fixed in most recent version, maybe upstream. I tried
removing and reinstalling the printer, same result. So I downgraded to
version: 4.0-20090308-1, from my /var/cache/apt/archives, and printing
again works fine, including HP-Toolbox-gui.
From /var/log/cups/error_log:
