Package: pidgin
Version: 2.5.5-1
Severity: normal

This is very bad. :-(

I can't seem to fire up pidgin anymore (well, for some time, actually,
but only now I decided to report it). It just segfaults upon startup and
here is the backtrace:

Both pidgin*-dbg and libgtk*-dbg are installed.

Is there any way to avoid it? I'm desperate to get in touch with some
people and I don't know what to do. I'm even considering changing to
another messenger, but I don't know which one.

Thank you very much for any help, Rogério Brito.

P.S.: Yes, I tried moving my .purple directory out of the way, just in
case, but it didn't help.
