Package: gnome-mplayer Version: 0.9.4-1 Severity: minor While running, ‘gnome-mplayer’ shows a notification area icon. This icon allows a single click to change the window status.
In this version, the change in status depends on the window's current status: if currently minimised, display the window; if currently displayed, minimise. This is confusing when the window is currently displayed, but layered below another window, or displayed on a different workspace. In those cases, clicking the icon appears to have no effect (since the window was not visible before clicking and is not visible again after clicking). Instead, clicking the notification area icon should behave similarly to e.g. the Deluge or Decibel icon: if the window is currently displayed *and* on the current workspace *and* at the top layer, minimise the window; otherwise, bring the window to the current workspace and display it at the top layer. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (900, 'stable') Architecture: powerpc (ppc64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-powerpc64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_AU.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages gnome-mplayer depends on: ii dbus 1.2.12-1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii gconf2 2.24.0-7 GNOME configuration database syste ii libasound2 1.0.19-1 shared library for ALSA applicatio ii libc6 2.9-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcurl3-gnutls 7.18.2-8.1 Multi-protocol file transfer libra ii libdbus-1-3 1.2.12-1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.80-3 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libgconf2-4 2.24.0-7 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglib2.0-0 2.20.0-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.14.7-5 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libmusicbrainz3-6 3.0.2-2 library to access the MusicBrainz. ii libnotify1 [libnot 0.4.5-1 sends desktop notifications to a n ii mplayer 1.0~rc2+svn20090303-5 movie player for Unix-like systems gnome-mplayer recommends no packages. gnome-mplayer suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- \ “Nothing so needs reforming as other people's habits.” —Mark | `\ Twain, _Pudd'n'head Wilson_ | _o__) | Ben Finney <b...@benfinney.id.au>
