What did you ask for that I did not provide? I sent a stacktrace with
libxml2-dbg loaded, a list of all plugins and (in addition) some local
variables from the stacktrace after the segv hoping that might help.

Disabled all plugins and restarted. As soon as I enable gmail, it
crashes.

P.S.: I did not yet try to delete and re-add the gmail account, because
that might make it work and thus I would not be able to reproduce.  Hmm,
perhaps I should make a backup of ~/.purple, then start all over again
and try to add my gmail account.  Would that help? --nk
