Under Debian Etch, I had installed apcupsd and apcupsd-cgi.
I was able to view my UPS web based information.

After upgrading to Debian Lenny, I was unable to view the UPS web based
information.

When trying to view the web page, I receive the following error:
multimon.cgi: error while loading shared libraries: libnetsnmp.so.9:
~ cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I ran the following command, and received the following output:
$ ldd multimon.cgi
~        linux-gate.so.1 =>  (0xb7f47000)
~        libpthread.so.0 => /lib/i686/cmov/libpthread.so.0 (0xb7f12000)
~        libwrap.so.0 => /lib/libwrap.so.0 (0xb7f0a000)
~        libcrypto.so.0.9.8 => /usr/lib/i686/cmov/libcrypto.so.0.9.8

~        libstdc++.so.6 => /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 (0xb7cc8000)

~        libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 (0xb7c95000)
~        libc.so.6 => /lib/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 (0xb7b39000)
~        /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xb7f48000)
~        libnsl.so.1 => /lib/i686/cmov/libnsl.so.1 (0xb7b20000)
~        libdl.so.2 => /lib/i686/cmov/libdl.so.2 (0xb7b1c000)
~        libz.so.1 => /usr/lib/libz.so.1 (0xb7b07000)

I search for libsnmp9 in the repositories, but did not come up with
anything.

I then took a look at the dependencies for apcupsd and noticed that in
Lenny it listed libsnmp15(>=5.4.1~dfsg), while in Etch it listed
libsnmp9(>=5.2.3).

I looked at the dependencies for apcupsd-cgi and noticed that in Lenny
there is nothing listed for libsnmp*. In Etch it listed libsnmp9(>=5.2.3)

So it appeared that apcupsd-cgi did not get updated with libsnmp15.

I pulled the libsnmp9 from the Etch repository and installed it locally.
~ This fixed my problem for now, and I am now able to view the web page
information.

If needed here is the results of uname -a:
Linux *** 2.6.26-1-686 #1 SMP Sat Jan 10 18:29:31 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

I am still very green in this area. There are probably better and more
official ways of getting this to work, but this works for me until an
official fix is shown to me.

Thank you to anyone who views this, I hope this helps.
