could you please explain in more detail what's causing the problem? Atops logrote touches /var/log/atop.log and uses atops init script to stop and restart /usr/bin/atop. I cannot find any conflict with acct.
I don't know exactly what's happening there. I have noticed that process accounting stops rigth after execution of atop's logrotate. May be it has something to do with that feature (quote from manpage): ---8<--- When atop is started, it switches on the process accounting mechanism in the kernel. ... Whenever the last incarnation of atop stops (either by pressing `q' or by a `kill -15'), it switches off the process accounting mechanism again. ---8<--- -- Konstantin Sbitnev -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
