This is a GTK feature, so it should be desktop independent unless the
desktop itself disables it on purpose regarding the gtkrc settings.
Maybe Xfce does that. Maybe because Xfce already provides a way to do
it or prevent it from the interface? I don't know, could you verify
that?

If you're talking about upstream's FAQ: it is a wiki so you can add
these bits by yourself :-)
