Package: foomatic-filters Followup-For: Bug #473076 Hallo!
Today I've updated my squeeze system via aptitude. Within this update foomatic-filters has been updated from 3.0.2-20080211-3.2 to 4.0-20090311-1. After this update I wasn't able to print on my Canon iR1022 any longer. CUPS logged this: PID 5744 (/usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip) stopped with status 1! [Job 929] Job stopped due to filter errors. The CUPS Webfrontend told me: foomatic-filters: /usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip failed I tried deleting and reinstalling the PID-file, but it did not help. Now I installed the former version from snapshot.debian.org and can print again. But I don't like to freeze my system on this version ;) Regards, Michael -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (1000, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_CH.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_CH.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages foomatic-filters depends on: ii bash 3.2-5 The GNU Bourne Again SHell ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.26 Debian configuration management sy ii perl 5.10.0-19 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii ucf 3.0016 Update Configuration File: preserv Versions of packages foomatic-filters recommends: ii cups [cupsys] 1.3.8-1lenny4.1 Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - ii cups-bsd [lpr] 1.3.8-1lenny4.1 Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - ii cups-client [cupsys-clie 1.3.8-1lenny4.1 Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - ii enscript 1.6.4-13 Converts ASCII text to Postscript, pn foomatic-db-engine <none> (no description available) ii ghostscript-x [gs-esp] 8.64~dfsg-1 The GPL Ghostscript PostScript/PDF foomatic-filters suggests no packages. -- debconf information: foomatic-filters/config_parsed: true foomatic-filters/spooler: direct foomatic-filters/textfilter: Automagic foomatic-filters/filter_debug: false foomatic-filters/ps_accounting: false foomatic-filters/custom_textfilter: -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
