I've added a patch in 2.0.2[-pre1] that enhance support for older MGE units, such as your ESV8+. To be sure, I've just retested the final 2.0.2 with a ESV11+, and it worked fine. I'm currently finishing to prepare 2.0.2 packages. Meanwhile, you can also try MGE PSP for Linux, which is a GUI based upon NUT.
