Package: libxine1 Version: 1.0.1-1 I tried to tidy up my system a bit deleting all files including the string "gnome" because i don't use that DE. This worked without any problems, it seemed that those packages haven't had any dependencies bothering other packages i wanted to keep. But after this, xine and programs using it didn't work any more. The plugins weren't loaded because of missing gnomevfs.
=> It would be nice if you could put libgnomevfs2-0 in the dependency-list of xine. I am using Debian GNU/Linux unstable, kernel 2.6.10-custom and libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22.
