ikiwiki prints a warning message to stderr if it fails to load that module, so it should be logged into your webserver's error.log. I could make it check it at wiki setup time, but the message would still not be obvious to anyone enabling the plugin via websetup. I don't see a good place to display the message at runtime. -- see shy jo
