Package: devilspie Version: 0.8-2 Severity: normal
The window manipulation utility devilspie fails to maximize windows and reorts an error instead. The portion of the configuration file that is supposed to maximize all galeon windows was taken directly from the sample-config.xml provided by the package: --------8<------------------- <flurb> <matchers> <matcher name="DevilsPieMatcherWindowName"> <property name="application_name" value="Galeon"/> </matcher> </matchers> <actions> <action name="DevilsPieActionResize"> <property name="maximized" value="TRUE"/> </action> </actions> </flurb> -------->8--------------------- A call of devilspie strips the decorations from the galeon window but does not act on its size. Instead an error message is given on stdout: ---------8<---------------------- [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ devilspie -a [snip] Window title: "My Portal: /"; Application name: "Galeon"; Role: "(none)"; Geometry: "966x644+6+26" (devilspie:10563): Wnck-WARNING **: Received a timestamp of 0; window activation may not function properly. ----------->8-------------------- In contrast, the action 'property name="minimized"' works as expected. ---<(kaimartin)>--- -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-1-k7 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages devilspie depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 1.8.0-4 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libglib2.0-0 2.6.1-3 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.4.14-2 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libpango1.0-0 1.8.0-3 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpopt0 1.7-5 lib for parsing cmdline parameters ii libwnck4 2.8.1-3 Window Navigator Construction Kit ii libx11-6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Window System protocol client li ii libxml2 2.6.11-5 GNOME XML library ii sgml-base 1.26 SGML infrastructure and SGML catal ii xlibs 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Keyboard Extension (XKB) configu ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-3 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
