Package: maildrop Version: 2.0.4-3 Severity: important
>From man maildropfilter: For each delivery (the to[7] and cc[11] statements, and default deliveries) maildrop records the From: and the Subject: fields, together with the current time, in the log file. This doesn't work reliably. From several logs: Bulk message: Precedence: list Date: Wed Mar 18 14:44:29 2009 From: message-id:date:subject:content-type:mime-version"Barnikow, Katja" <katj Subj: [Angebote] WG: HERTHA BSC- Borussia Dortmund File: |/usr/local/libexec/dovecot/deliver -e (662867) In this case, maildrop logged the DKIM header instead of the From: header! Or mixed both, who knows. The DKIM Header: DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/simple; d=charite.de; h= from:message-id:date:subject:content-type:mime-version :content-class:received:received:received:x-virus-scanned; s= default; t=1237383677; bh=7Q6qSv4vMWBVhAT79vzOdErsuTcjoLR3jOcVw/ 21upA=; b=IEVP0Ip6pwN8cG2vyAr7Gk2gaEmX7ZXrbKPbzGzip+GCcN9KihZOpo Ho49OItUmaGGCLeGudu+0rukZ95vSDFlvHqL5JBLU2NWuD/V9LS2lYl9upXDsnyp NNI6s7SWf8ZKjPdtPYDC2hc+iyk2AJQCk6XLmAl8QHR38ZuD5W2tI= the From: header: From: "Barnikow, Katja" <katja.barni...@charite.de> As you can see, the second line from the DKIM header "from:message-id:date:subject:content-type:mime-version" was logged, followed by the "Real" From: header. Perhaps maildrop should look for the equivalent of "^From: " instead of looking for "from:" -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.29-rc6-git2 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages maildrop depends on: ii courier-authlib 0.61.0-1+lenny1 Courier authentication library ii libc6 2.7-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.3.3-3 GCC support library ii libgdbm3 1.8.3-4 GNU dbm database routines (runtime ii libpcre3 7.8-2 Perl 5 Compatible Regular Expressi ii libstdc++6 4.3.3-3 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 hi postfix [mail-transport- 2.3.4-3 A high-performance mail transport maildrop recommends no packages. maildrop suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
