Hi Barry, Thanks a lot for looking at this. I applied your patch (and did some cleaning on the package), but the results weren't as expected :( With your patch the application will crash as soon as the mouse pointer hits it. Yeah, start it (you can even see "some" output from the cam) move your mouse in to its window and... $ gqcam -v /dev/video0 gqcam: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0. I'm attaching an strace of it, in case it helps.
