Package: mime-support
Version: 3.44-1
Severity: important

Hello,

a mime-type detection in run-mailcap is not working correctly.

For example:
$ run-mailcap --debug=1 /etc/protocols
  - parsing parameter "/etc/protocols"
  - file "/etc/protocols" does not conform to any known pattern
  Warning: unknown mime-type for "/etc/protocols" -- using
"application/octet-stream"

But "file" utility is working well:
$ file /etc/protocols
  /etc/protocols: ASCII English text

It seems to happen with text/* mime-types (not all of them, though).

mime-support depends on no packages.

ii file 4.26-1 Determines file type using "magic"

mime-support suggests no packages.
