I'm having the same problem after today's upgrade to the latest version. Jerome's work-around eliminates the error message, but the GTK screen remains completely blank.
I'd mark this bug as severe since it renders the package completely unusable. First, additional info about error messages. If I run deluge -L debug, I get: [WARNING ] 08:27:52 config:263 Unable to open config file: /home/moshe/.config/deluge/gtkui.conf [DEBUG ] 08:27:52 config:269 Saving new config file /home/moshe/.config/deluge/gtkui.conf.new [DEBUG ] 08:27:52 config:281 Backing up old config file to /home/moshe/.config/deluge/gtkui.conf~ [ERROR ] 08:27:52 config:284 Error backing up old config.. After following Jerome's advice and moving the *conf.new files to *.conf files, I no longer get errors -- but on the other hand, I'm not getting any output. The GTK screen is absolutely blank. I also get [DEBUG ] 11:56:20 configmanager:79 Getting config 'hostlist.conf.1.1' [WARNING ] 11:56:20 config:242 Unable to load config file: /home/moshe/.config/deluge/hostlist.conf.1.1 If I create a blank hostlist.conf.1.1 file, I still get this same error message. If I completely delete all prior configuration files and start deluge, I get a few config files (.new), no error messages, but GTK does not operate. For what its worth, the deluged.log contains [ERROR ] 12:05:53 main:207 eventfd_select_interrupter: Function not implemented Traceback (most recent call last): File "/var/lib/python-support/python2.5/deluge/main.py", line 204, in start_daemon Daemon(options, args) File "/var/lib/python-support/python2.5/deluge/core/daemon.py", line 44, in __init__ self.core = Core(options.port).run() File "/var/lib/python-support/python2.5/deluge/core/core.py", line 168, in run self.session = lt.session(fingerprint, flags=0) RuntimeError: eventfd_select_interrupter: Function not implemented -- Moshe Yudkowsky Disaggregate 2952 W Fargo Chicago, IL 60645 USA www.Disaggregate.com spe...@pobox.com +1 773 764 8727 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
